Gear shaping machine
Hobbing machines are machine tools used for machining pinions, spur and helical gears. Gear shaping is done by using a star-shaped tool, called a shaper, which cuts the gear teeth one at a time. The hobbing machine is capable of producing high-precision gears and can be used for single or mass production of parts. Hobbing is a very common machining operation in the mechanical industry and is used to create gears for power transmission in various types of machinery and equipment.
